Using Scraps to Make Beautiful Cards

 Hello!

I hope you're having a wonderful week.  It has been cold and rainy and I feel that Spring may never really get here.  Actually I'm beginning to feel like it will be one of those years here in the Midwest where we have a couple of Spring like days and then hop right into the full blown heat of Summer.  But you never know.

With all of the rainy days I have had a little more opportunity to do some crafting.  I am on a mission to reduce some of the clutter in my craft space.  I'm wanting to finish up those long lost projects I have laying around and also reduce some of the excess supplies.  One area that I definitely have an excess of is in the area of SCRAP PAPER---- really just paper in general but I am trying to get rid of a lot of those strips and scraps that have been hanging around forever.  It's likely you'll see a few video's on this because I plan to find even more creative ways to use it up.

Make sure you check out my video below to see all of the ways I used scraps to make beautiful cards.

Bunny Birthday Cards

 Hoppy Birthday!!

Well it's been a very long time since my last post!  Is there anyone out there still listening?? Ha!!
I have had many many changes since my last post.  I have recently decided to retire so I am finding a little more time on my hands.  Just a teeny weeny bit.  It seems I am still on the go but hope to be able to devote more and more time to crafting and making cards.

Today I was putting together a couple of cards for my May birthday girls and I decided wby not try to do a blog post!  Well who knows if this will even go through. I'm not sure if I still have what it takes to get this blog up and going but I'll sure give it my best.

Today I used my new stamps from the March Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp.  I subscribe to their monthly card kit and I found this one to be absolutely adorable.  I wanted the kit to make Easter cards but I thought these would make perfect Spring birthday cards as well.  Unfortunately this kit has sold out but you can still purchase the stamp set HERE.  And BONUS, when I went over to the site to copy the link it looks like it's on sale for a great buy, at least it is as of the date of this post.

I stamped these little bunnies on my Neenah card stock and even did a little masking to add the flower to the hand of the bunny on the left.  The clouds were done blending a little of bit ink in the color Seafoam over the Mini Cloud stencil. Both of these items were included in the kit.  I colored the bunnies and the flowers using my Copic markers.  I mounted one of my card fronts on a piece of purple card stock and mounted the other on a background I created using scraps of paper. I hope to do a video and a blog post on how I created that background and a few others. Based on the response to my past video about using scrap paper to make cards, it seems to be a popular subject so I hope to get a few new ideas for everyone to use.
